Hello Ski Families,
As a non-profit organization, Bradford Ski Team, maintains the goal of providing a fun environment for kids to develop racing skills. We do this by coordinating with the Eastern Massachusetts Buddy Werner League, Tri-State Alpine Ski Racing Association, Ski Bradford, and NH Alpine Race Association as well as several other ski clubs around the area. We are an all volunteer organization, run by the parents and guardians of our racers. We put forth much time and effort to ensure this program remains an enjoyable experience for all, therefore, your patience and help throughout the season would be much appreciated.
Registration for the 2011/2012 season will begin on October 1, 2011. It is online only and the link can be found on our web site. Available slots in the program are limited, so please register early. Registration runs until November 30, unfortunately we cannot accept registration for BWL after December 8, however, practice-only registration can be accepted after December 25.
Practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning when Ski Bradford opens in December. J6 racers (age 8 and under) practice Thursdays only. New this year we will add a few optional Saturday practices. BWL races are held on Sundays and typically begin on the first Sunday after New Years Day. As an option for our racers seeking a higher level of competition, we are offering additional races at select Tri-State and USSA Open races.The schedule as well as last minute updates are available on the club’s website www.bradfordskiteam.com.
The club is strategically run by a member elected Board. These volunteers spend a significant amount of time working on initiatives to ensure that short and long term goals of the club are met. To that point, please note that throughout the season, we will be interested in recruiting core volunteers to help lead this club into the future. Therefore, please get to know the Board and familiarize yourself with how the club operates.
On the tactical side of our events, volunteering is mandatory for the families of all racers. So please honor your volunteer commitment. Our volunteer coordinator, Beth Bouthot will contact you at the beginning of the season to coordinate volunteer efforts. It is imperative to find a replacement if you are unable to meet you volunteer commitment.
