Q:How long is the season?
A:The season usually begins sometime in December depending on when Ski Bradford officially opens. The final EMBWL (Eastern Mass Buddy Werner League) championship race is usually scheduled in early March.Racers who qualify for Piche’s Thompson Trophy Race will compete until mid-March.
Q: What is the J6 age ability and requirements?
A: We will permit racers as young as 1st grade and/or six years of age. Racers need not know how to race, BUT they MUST be proficient skiers (able to stop and turn with confidence) AND ride the chair lift on their own. This is not a learn to ski program and our coach racer ratio's are not that of a ski lesson thus independence is a must. BST reserves the right to dismiss racers from the program if they prove to be a risk to our racers.
A:BST could not survive without our dedicated parent volunteers. Our Board coordinates the program, but our parent volunteers are who make the practices and races run smoothly!
